Pool Services

Poolfection provides professional commercial pool servicing, water management and equipment support for body corporates, apartment complexes, resorts, holiday parks and shared facilities across the Gold Coast.

With more than 25 years of experience maintaining commercial pools and spas across the Gold Coast, Poolfection has the knowledge to look after facilities of every size. From one-million-litre resort lagoons to compact 5,000-litre plunge pools, we have the experience, industry contacts and know-how to help keep your water healthy, clean and ready to enjoy.

A commercial pool is relied on by residents, guests and members every day. When the water is out of balance or equipment fails, it quickly becomes a problem for everyone. Our job is to keep your pool looking great, operating properly and to identify issues before they become costly emergencies.

2

Customized Maintenance Plans

At Poolfection, we understand that every property, pool and spa has different needs.

We begin with a complimentary on-site inspection, where we assess each pool or spa, its equipment and the overall condition of the plant area. We also take the time to speak with management or body corporate representatives to understand the specific needs and expectations of the property.

From there, we provide a customised maintenance plan designed around your site. Our focus is on keeping water quality consistent, extending the lifespan of your equipment and finding practical ways to reduce unnecessary chemical use and running costs.

3

Commercial Pool Water Testing & Equipment

Commercial pools need more than a quick test-strip reading. While test strips can provide a basic snapshot, they do not offer the detail or consistency we rely on when managing high-use pools and spas. At Poolfection, we use professional Taylor Technologies test reagents and WaterLink SpinTouch photometer testing to accurately assess sanitiser levels, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, stabiliser and other important water-balance factors. This allows us to make considered treatment adjustments, maintain clean and comfortable water, and avoid unnecessary chemical use.

Accurate testing is only part of the job. Commercial facilities need equipment that is correctly selected, sized and maintained for the pool’s water volume, bather load and operating demands. We do not recommend fitting residential-grade equipment to commercial pools simply because it has a lower upfront cost. Undersized pumps, filters, chlorinators and dosing equipment can struggle to keep up, leading to higher chemical use, repeated repairs, poor water quality and unnecessary downtime. Our team has the experience to recommend, maintain and repair commercial-grade equipment that supports reliable performance and lower long-term running costs.

4

Commercial Automation, Dosing & Plant Room Upgrades

Commercial automation and dosing systems take the guesswork out of maintaining water quality. By monitoring key water-balance readings and automatically adjusting chlorine production and pH correction when required, the right system can maintain more stable water through changing bather loads, weather and operating conditions. This reduces reliance on fixed timers and manual chemical additions, helping to improve consistency, reduce chemical waste, protect equipment from poor water balance and identify developing issues early.

Poolfection can assess, supply and maintain commercial automation, chemical dosing and monitoring systems tailored to each facility. We work closely with specialised commercial equipment manufacturers to ensure every system is correctly sized for the property and its demands. From commercial saltwater generators up to 1,300g/hr, specialised AOP systems and state-of-the-art filtration, through to complete plant-room upgrades, we recommend equipment designed for reliable long-term commercial performance.

5

Energy Efficient Heating

Many commercial pools and spas still rely on gas heating, which can be costly to run and expensive to maintain—particularly for facilities operating year-round or maintaining higher water temperatures. With rising gas costs, the ongoing expense of heating can place significant pressure on a building’s operating budget.

Poolfection can assess your current heating system and recommend correctly sized commercial heat-pump upgrades as an alternative to ageing or inefficient gas heaters. Depending on the property, pool size, operating hours and existing gas use, some upgrades can achieve a payback period of less than 18 months and save a building tens of thousands of dollars in annual heating costs. We provide practical, site-specific advice to help you choose the most efficient long-term solution for your facility.

6

Health & Safety

Health and safety is a critical part of managing any commercial pool or spa facility. From safe chemical handling and storage to water-quality management and plant-room safety, the right systems help protect staff, residents, guests and visitors while reducing the risk of costly incidents.

Poolfection understands the practical requirements of commercial pool safety. We can assist with correctly stored and clearly identified chemicals, up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS), hazardous-chemical registers, spill-response procedures and safe plant-room practices. These details are often overlooked until there is an incident or inspection, but they are essential to maintaining a safe and well-managed facility.

We can review your current pool and spa operations, identify areas requiring attention and provide practical recommendations to help bring the facility into line with relevant Queensland Health guidance, workplace health and safety obligations and applicable City of Gold Coast requirements. Where formal certification or specialist input is required, we can help you understand the next steps and coordinate the appropriate process.

7

Commercial References

Choosing the right commercial pool contractor is an important decision. If required, Poolfection can provide several references from commercial properties we currently look after across the Gold Coast. This gives management teams and body corporate committees the opportunity to speak directly with clients about our reliability, communication, attention to detail and the quality of our ongoing service.
